have you fashioned a way
to render the centre of brutal mistakes
and replace all the space left with beautiful fakes
until no one can tell the difference

at this pace
which we've been hacking for days
but for every gimmick or trick of the trade
from releasing the ballast to cutting the brakes

in a vault with a very short fuse lit
knowing if we're meticulous, we could get away with this

while we're here fighting gravity
